THE PEAKS 360 HELPS NEIGHBORIMPACT STREAMLINE LENDING DEPARTMENT

Financial contributions helped the nonprofit hire an administrative program specialist within
the lending department to help expand the program’s reach.

Redmond, OR (February 23, 2024) — The Peaks 360 continued a streak of assisting local nonprofits expand their programs by committing a financial contribution to NeighborImpact, a nonprofit that operates in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson Counties, along with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

NeighborImpact is a nonprofit with the broad mission to support people and strengthen communities. To achieve this mission, the nonprofit promotes a wide range of programs across a variety of departments. These programs range from providing and connecting community members with basic human needs like food, water and shelter, but they also go further, and connect people with education, and programs that help develop professional skills.

Among housing programs, NeighborImpact offers rent assistance, homeowners counseling, mortgage assistance, foreclosure prevention and lending assistance, to name a few. According to John Cox, the director of lending at NeighborImpact, a key factor holding the lending department back has been a lack of capital.

With more time on his hands, John has been able to tackle this issue, primarily due to the assistance from The Peaks 360. “Their contribution allowed me to get an administrative program specialist in the lending department, which has given me more time to focus on the critical, big picture parts of the program that need my attention,” John said.

“After all the benefits are said and done, it costs over $57,000 a year to fill this new position,” John said. “The contribution from The Peaks 360 was instrumental in filling this position, and as a result, we’ve seen increased efficiency and productivity, along with more positive growth.”

This financial contribution continues the streak of The Peaks 360 in providing assistance to local nonprofits to specifically help these organizations expand their reach and overall impact in the community.
